I was at the event this morning. A lot of great things were said. As one of the job seekers in the room who frequent events that focus on diversity the big 'how' question still exists. I know many diverse candidates with various backgrounds/ disciplines that can't even get an interview[which was one of the questions presented to the panel]. I'm sure that progress is being made because we here it when we attend these events but for many job seekers the next question is 'where?'.

I understand your frustration. I don't know if anyone could be as frustrated as I am from my vantage point. One thing I have learned is that you have to meet people where they are. There is much to do on both sides. I would recommend spending more time at digital advertising events and social media industry events to build your network and relationships and skills. That is where the path is to getting in. If you have develop strong digital skills and build relationships in digital advertising you will find more success. Those that have been hired are have gotten their digital hustle on to get in. Not easy but that is the reality right now. Not then " diversity" hiring.
Appreciate the feedback and dialogue.
