Blacks in Interactive Meet for Drinks and Community

You probably thought there were not enough to have justify getting together.  As the list grew everyone was excited to see who would be there.  The new Media Director at Beyond Interactive took the lead the old fashioned digital way.  A simple Evite.  It is not an association or formal group.  Everyone invited other people in the industry that they knew for drinks two weeks ago.  Who was there?  Advertising sales executives at some of the major digital networks, agency planners and buyers, web designers, digital marketing executives from both the media and agency side of the business.  Probably about 40-50 in all. Everyone embraced the idea of connecting, supporting and exchanging ideas.  They exchanged cards, ideas and shared stories to support their career journey.  It was a great way for top talent to get to know each other and help build their knowledge and connection.  Nothing formal planned yet.  Everyone had such a great time (we even raffled off an iPod Shuffle, courtesy of Tangerine-Watson, inc.) and we agreed to do it again.
